lodekka 29th Nov 2023		CD Album Golden Earring - The Devil Made Us Do It (35 Years)	My full introduction to Golden Earring was listening to this on the in-flight entertainment flying from Amsterdam to New York on KLM. The only thing I had heard by them up until this was the hit single 'Radar Love' and it's follow up 'Instant Poetry'. Picked up the 2-disc set quite easily but took a little longer to get the 4-disc set. I can also recommend the accompanying 35 Years - 27 clips DVD issued in 2002 featuring all their big hits from 1966 to 1999. Managed to catch them live at Ipswich Regent Theatre in 2009 when they played the first UK dates for over 30 years and was not disappointed even though they based their set around the 'Moontan' album era being what sold best over here. Can't be many groups that have kept the same line up for over 50 years, from 1970 until they sadly called it a day in 2021 due to ill health.

lodekka 12th Jun 2023		Vinyl Album Marc Bolan And T. Rex - Child Of The Revolution	Came with a leaflet that allowed purchaser to claim free "Mr. Motion" one sided 7" single. If ordered through the fan club the free 7" was sent automatically with the album.

My copy is on the earlier EMI label (EMI down the left).originally released in 1979, the Fame label dates from 1982. [Mod edit: It has been done - linked below, and images moved over]
lodekka 8th Jun 2023		Vinyl Album Marc Bolan - Dance In The Midnight	The tri-fold sleeve has an extra leaf inserted with two addition pictures of Marc from the same photo shoot with the yellow jacket. According to a special release sheet from Marc On Wax to fan club members 'the first 10,000 albums and cassettes will be in special deluxe packaging'.

Reissued in July 1985 with free 12" single containing "A" & "B" sides of singles released in the year of the album. This should have been Cat No. MARCL 506 to follow correct order of release of the original albums but this was allocated to the following Futuristic Dragon release. MARCL 506 has been scratched through in the run-off grooves and replaced with MARCL 507. This was again reissued in 1989 with black labels and the correct MARCL 506 Cat No. and P. 1989 on labels and sleeve with new address for the Fan Club but excluding the free 12".

Rex - Bolan's Zip Gun	The bonus 12" disc 12 MARCL 507F should be with the Futuristic Dragon issue MARC 506, a different bonus disc was issued with this one (12 MARCL 506F) containing the singles from the year of the albums original release. 'Dragon' has MARCL 507 with the 7 scratched out and changed to a 6! Somebody got their wires crossed at the pressing plant. It was corrected for the 1989 reissues so that the releases ran in the correct chronological order. Correction submitted to the Mods.

lodekka 1st Jun 2023		12" Single Marc Bolan - Mellow Love	According to the Marc On Wax Rarn Special news leaflet release date was Friday 5th February 1982. Mellow Love is the full length version, 7" version shortened for Radio. A-side recorded between 1976 and 1977. B-side recorded as Tyrannosaurus Rex in 1970, both tracks recorded at the same session.

Plain red labels both sides so no further information given apart from on the plain white custom stamped sleeve as in notes. A-side runs 6:10, B-side 6:15, is this the same as the US 12" official release?
