I don't know where I should put this, because these are two 12" records playing on 45 RPM, but too many songs for a 12" single.

The Beatles - Conquering America
Review
You probably don't need another live Beatles collection, but here's one
anyway. Here, The Beatles conquer America, and then move on to the rest
of the world, leaving behind a hospitalized Ringo.
Carefully compiled and restored from the best sources we could find. As
always, we didn't just copy the audio from the listed souces - instead, we
tried to work some of our patented sonic magic when necessary. Of course,
the quality still varies from dire to delightful, but you knew that already.

The Beatles - Star Club
Review
This release clears up a lot of speculation about the Beatles’ Star Club tapes, thanks to an unedited and unprocessed source tape (for which we cannot thank DarthDisc and the Darthelves enough). Although the recording dates are still guesses, we now know the correct order for about 2/3 of the songs. Even so, the second half of disc one is sequenced based more on smooth transitions than solid setlist information.

We tried to make sure every Star Club sound was accounted for, but not repeated: auditioning many “Live At The Star Club” CDs and LPS on a number of labels. Even so, we used Darthdisc’s unprocessed tape wherever possible. As well as offering upgrades and previously unheard chat “Red Hot,” though still incomplete, is twice as long as before. “Red Sails…” now has an extra verse compared with the released version, while “I Saw Her Standing There” on disc two has an extra guitar solo. Conversely, we removed looped portions of “I’m Gonna Sit Right Down…”, “Twist And Shout” and “I Remember You.”

It’s by no means perfect, but it’s the best we have at the moment. And it’s the first time we’ve listened to the Star Club tapes in years. Hopefully you’ll gain a new appreciation for these historic recordings as well.

All tracks mono, at the correct speed, and eq’d for the most coherent listening experience. Enjoy!

As always, Purple Chick discs are fan created and NEVER FOR SALE.

The Beatles - The Last Tour
Review
And so to the conclusion of The Beatles as a performing group (although some might argue the end really came a year or more earlier) – all the circulating shows from their final tour of the U.S.A.

While this may be a delight for completists, the last show at San Francisco is the only decent sounding recording here (and not such a bad performance either, relatively speaking). Also of note is the 'cherry bomb' explosion heard halfway through "If I Needed Someone" from the Memphis evening show. Otherwise it's slim pickings, pop pickers.

We've done our best to make everything sound as good as possible - speed correction, a little eq, and more (but never any compression or noise reduction!) We even used a source for the San Francisco show without the digital reverb appearing on most releases of this concert.

It's not all that pretty, but this is it – the end of The Beatles live. (Unless you count the Rooftop Concert – and that's on A/B Road if you still need to find it!).

I was thinking recently, and it just popped into my mind, about the photographies that appear on the sleeve. Could anybody say, where were they taken? By all the information provided, I would presume that the back one is from Tivoli Halle, Ljubljana, Yugoslavia on 7th February 1979.

Yes, it is obvious! This mistake should not be made that easily. All the green Harvest labels are presumably stereo.
The first variation of labels is not from 1973, but from May 1986 reissue, despite the year of the release.
