MoreFloyd 29th Nov 2020 | | CD AlbumKreator - Renewal | Thanks for the tidy up Magic Marmalade, looks good.
A look at the Discogs and Wikipedia sites would roughly suggest a timeline for the "Noise" label as follows.
1983 to 1987 "Noise Records" (a division of Modern Music Records GmbH)
1987 to 1993 "Noise International" (due to expansion into UK and US markets)
1993 to 1996 "Noise"
1997 to 2007 "Noise Records" (sold to Sanctuary Records Group in 2001, ceased all activity 2007)
Oct 2007 Sanctuary Records Group acquired by Universal Music Group
2016 - "Noise Records" (Sanctuary Records catalogue sold by Universal to BMG Rights Management who relaunched "Noise Records"

MoreFloyd 27th Nov 2020 | | CD AlbumKreator - Renewal | I have an early (possibly first pressing) 1992-93 release of this CD. Same #cat, barcode, Label: Noise International and made in Germany printed on rear of inlay card. My question is, should this entry be changed to:
Label = Noise
Country = Europe
as that is what is printed on image 317932 ? Then I could add the German release. Noise, Noise International are listed as separate labels on this site but I'm not sure that they aren't the same thing as far as 45worlds is concerned.

MoreFloyd 21st Nov 2020 | | CD AlbumEric Clapton - Time Pieces | I have 2 copies of this release both identical other than pressing numbers and one having a sticker on the case. Neither have SID codes. As for a release date I suspect they are both early to mid 90's. There are earlier "Disctronics" manufactured CD's of this release with a different barcode and later "PMI" manufactured CD's using the same #cat and barcode as above.

MoreFloyd 20th Aug 2020 | | Vinyl AlbumBillie Eilish - When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? | I'm pretty sure that this is a standard release not a "Special Edition". According to Discogs there were some different coloured vinyls that were released in limited numbers through her website and some select stores. This version "Apricot or Pale Yellow" seems to be a fairly mainstream release. If there are no objections I will ask for a correction. It seems to me that a plain black vinyl release by a modern artist is quite likely going to be the most "special" of all.

MoreFloyd 24th Jun 2020 | | CD AlbumKing's X - Out Of The Silent Planet | I'm fairly sure the correct label for this release should be "Megaforce" with "Atlantic" as a secondary label. This is how I originally entered it, but has since been changed. I know it may seem like splitting hairs but at this stage of King's X's career they were signed to "Megaforce" who were responsible for production and distribution of there recorded output with "Atlantic" being simply a parent company. However that did change sometime in 1992 when King's X moved up from "Megaforce Records" to the parent label "Atlantic Records". I think pre-1992 releases should be listed as "Megaforce" with "Atlantic" as a secondary label, and releases / represses etc... from 1992-1997 would be "Atlantic" only. Hoping for some feedback as to whether this sounds correct and if so I will ask to have it changed. The multiple labels that appear on CD's confuse the heck out of me at times!

MoreFloyd 15th Jun 2020 | | CD AlbumKing's X - Black Like Sunday | Added remaining images and "InsideOut" flyer.
Most of the booklet is designed as an American 2003 calendar showing tour dates, Birthdays and album releases etc.
The multimedia portion of the cd contains a video clip for the track "Dreams" from the mid-eighties plus a picture show / screensaver and lyrics.
The songs on this album are actually early tracks from the band when they were known as "The Edge" and later "Sneak Preview", but recorded with the more modern King's X sound of the time.

MoreFloyd 1st May 2020 | | CD AlbumKing's X - Faith Hope Love | I believe this release, although still showing "Megaforce Worldwide" on the booklet and rear of inlay card, is a later reissue solely on the "Atlantic" label ("Megaforce Worldwide" having now been removed from the CD). The date for this release would be sometime from early 1992 onwards as this is when King's X moved up from "Megaforce Records" to the parent label "Atlantic Records". Earlier releases will show "Megaforce Worldwide" as a secondary label on the CD.
That said, my copy and images are from a later pressing some time after 1994 - January 2002 when I purchased It.

MoreFloyd 13th Sep 2019 | | CD AlbumJethro Tull - Stand Up | Hi "gregs45s",
I did find an article here that suggests that EMI introduced the Barcode/Cat.No./Price Code box in 1992. A cursory look at LP's (Discogs Site) from Italy by EMI, Parlophone, Virgin & Chrysalis in the years 1990 - 1992 seem to suggest that this might be the case. So in regards to the linked Deep Purple CD it may be that there is an earlier pressing (same Barcode, Cat#, track listing etc...) without the "box" on the back of the inlay card. If 1992 is correct, then the Jethro Tull CD above would most likely have been released between 1992 and 1994.
