Of course, the organ had to be bigger and more impressive than the ones in the local cinemas. When the war broke out, his trucks were requisitioned by the RAF, and his tour ended. He donated the organ to the BBC, because the BBCs theater organ was destroyed in the blitz. It served the BBC for a couple decades more, and eventually would up in a Pizza restraunt in the USA by the 1970s. Mr Foort was on hand to inaugurate it, having emigrated to the USA after the war. Mr. Foort was the most popular musical performer on the BBC in the late 1930s
