Music Memorabilia
[none] - Peaches Records Plastic LP Bag
There was a Big Peaches store on the northwest side of milwaukee, later became Mainstream records. It was in a building that had formerly been a red owl grocery store. Notice that the peaches logo is the same shape as the red owl logo, they painted peaches over the store sign. Years later the paint peeled, showing the Red Owl logo underneath.

Reginald Foort - Overture "Poet And Peasant" -- Part 1 / Overture "Poet And Peasant" -- Part 2
The Moller organ in this recording was made custom for Mr. Foort, about 1939 and was Portable, carried about the UK in a fleet of large trucks, ,and reassembled on stage for each performance. Of course, the organ had to be bigger and more impressive than the ones in the local cinemas. When the war broke out, his trucks were requisitioned by the RAF, and his tour ended. He donated the organ to the BBC, because the BBCs theater organ was destroyed in the blitz. It served the BBC for a couple decades more, and eventually would up in a Pizza restraunt in the USA by the 1970s. Mr Foort was on hand to inaugurate it, having emigrated to the USA after the war. Mr. Foort was the most popular musical performer on the BBC in the late 1930s
