Since the runout doesn't match the cat# perhaps RVG might refer to the legendary Rudy Van Gelder? This has some interesting info. Made in USA for Japanese market? @PhilMH: already suggested, hence runout query :-)

Presumably all the references to "Eddy Grant & the Equals" were attempts by record companies to cash in on Eddy's later fame as a solo artist...
