Quad5point1 12th Nov 2022		Cinema Sex And Romance (1951)	@Twistin, another method I use is to hit the "PrtSc" (Print Screen) key with movie paused and in "Paint" go to "Edit" and "Paste Into New Image" and save the result as a JPG, just another possible workaround.

Quad5point1 29th Oct 2022		CD Album The Beatles - Revolver	The saturation levels don't bother me at all but what bothers me is that they have opted to give less and charge more. Streaming Dolby Atmos is going to be a killer for the physical medium. They've suddenly realised that they can squeeze more money out of people by not supplying the usual Blu-Ray and force them to subscribe to a streaming service. The people really have to vote with their wallets on this issue and not give in to them or we will end up with no product at all. I would much rather have the Blu-Ray disc and I can play it whenever I want without having to pay a monthly subscription for something that may or may not be available going into the future. I suspect that it's people like me they're trying to force into the subscription route and for me anyway it's not going to work. Just like everything else they make unavailable, in time, it will appear as a pirate or a bootleg and they're just shooting themselves in the foot. Pity really :-(

Quad5point1 27th Oct 2022		CD Album The Beatles - Revolver	It's strange that they put so little into this box set but not so strange that they charged maximum money for it. With the decision not to include a Bluray with the Hi Res Stereo and Dolby Atmos mixes making the latter only available on a streaming service I would say this is going to be the worst seller of any of the Beatles Super Deluxe Editions thus far. I certainly won't be buying it and that's also the decision of most people over on the Quadraphonic Quad forum. In fact the fewer people that buy this release the better, it might send a message to them that they got this one totally wrong. One can only hope it hits them in their bank balance, and with the state the world is in at the moment people are going to very careful about what they spend their dwindling resources on.

Quad5point1 6th Sep 2022		Blu-ray Operation Mincemeat [2021] - Warner Bros. Home Entertainment	Rated 4/10 If you've never seen the 1956 film "The Man Who Never Was" you would probably enjoy this. I think the way the characters that were played by Colin Firth (Ewen Montagu) and Matthew Macfadyen (Charles Cholmondeley) were terrible and the movie had this ridiculous love story going on in the background which was just so corny, Kelly Macdonald was like a square peg in a round hole and even Penelope Wilton was bad in this film and (for me anyway) that's a first. I honestly couldn't find one single redeeming quality in the film, it will be winging it's way to the nearest charity shop as it's not even worth a second viewing. Pity, I was really looking forward to this movie being brought bang up to date with all the newest techniques in filming available today. Instead what we got was (to use old parlance) a quota quickie where it appears this was just rushed off to get some money in or keep actors in employment. It says on the cover "Gripping & Incredibly Moving", the only thing I was gripping was the Remote Control to switch it off and the only way it moved me was to walk over and press the eject button. There was much to much emphasis placed on the fictional love story than there was on the historical aspect of the subject.
