Recordholic 10th Nov 2020		Vinyl Album Merle Travis - Back Home	First issued as a 4-disc, 8-song 78 rpm album in 1947 as “Folk Songs From The Hills”. Issued in 1957 on 12” LP with 4 additional tracks from the same ‘47 sessions, titled “Back Home”, issued on the turquoise label, then on the first two Capitol rainbow labels with the logo at 9:00. Re-issued in 1963 with original catalog number, in mono (no Duophonic), with new cover art and the ‘60s-era rainbow label (logo at 12:00).

By the time of this release, there were plenty of non-LP tracks (or even unreleased tracks) that could have been included instead.
