rockin-geoff 14th Aug 2024		Vinyl Album Carl Perkins - Put Your Cat Clothes On	This is one of a very few of Carl's records which give track A1 it's correct title of 'Sweethearts or Strangers'. This is more often wrongly quoted on various records as 'Sweetheart's A Stranger'.
rockin-geoff 18th Jun 2024		Vinyl Album Chuck Berry - 20 Hits	This record consists of a live performance from, I believe, an unknown source. Although I'm always happy to listen to Chuck I have to admit that this is certainly not Chuck at his best, much of the time both vocally and instrumentally out of tune.
rockin-geoff 11th Apr 2024		Vinyl Album Carl Perkins - Carl Perkins	Between tracks B3 and B4 on side 2 the record lists 'Big Taxes' but this does not exist on this record. It can be found on Bopcat's BC 400 'Goin' Back to Memphis' album or Culture Press CP2003 'Turn Around' album.
rockin-geoff 11th Apr 2024		Vinyl Album Carl Perkins - Лучшее Из Репертуара Карла Перкинса	There is an extra track on side 2 between B6 and B7 - 'Movie Magg' - which is not mentioned on either the sleeve or the record. Therefore this becomes track B7 and 'Gone, Gone, Gone' becomes track B8. I'm unable to give the Russian title of this song !

Rock 'N' Roll	St Michael appear to have had a curious way of numbering their records with the same number being assigned to several different records. In this instance there are at least 6 records with the number 2102/0102. Or maybe it was Phonogram, the producers of records for St Michael, who had this strange numbering system.

I'd be grateful if anyone can provide further information on this. I found a copy on Discogs where it is described as 'unofficial release' and 'not permitted to sell this item on Discogs' so maybe it should be classified in the Bootleg section ? I don't know if this is a printing error because the U.K. issue has a different picture on the rear of the sleeve. Maybe someone can enlighten me !
rockin-geoff 11th Jul 2022		78 RPM Ronnie Self - Bop-A-Lena / Ain't Im A Dog	I heard this on the radio in 1958 - probably the Jack Jackson show on Radio Luxembourg (about the only place to hear decent music back then). It was the wildest thing I'd ever heard so I had to have it. My local record shop had never heard of it so had to place a special order. When it arrived I was not disappointed by it but in the 80's when I had no means of playing 78's I swapped it for a Carl Perkins album. Another one of life's great mistakes! Well at least I now have the songs on the Rockin Ronnie EP but it's not quite the same!

rockin-geoff 14th Mar 2022		78 RPM The Scottish Country Dance Players - The Dashing White Sergeant / Gay Gordons	According to Paul Pelletier's excellent catalogue this was also issued on a 7" 45. I have found no evidence of this and would be very grateful if anyone could provide any information. The same also applies to B10014.
