safcforme 30th Oct 2019		CD Single Alicia Bridges - I Love The Nightlife (Disco 'Round) (Real Rapino 7" Mix)	Review The original 7" release of this was a minor UK top 40 hit in 1978 (No32) and came at the tail end of the disco boom. A catchy, radio friendly tune, it's surprising then that given the huge success of the movie 'The adventures of Pricilla queen of the desert' (the soundtrack from which this is taken), that this release didn't make the top 40 at all!, peaking at No 61 on the w/e 8th of October 1994 6 people found this review helpful. ✔︎ Helpful Review?

safcforme 20th Oct 2019		CD Single Bounce - Popcorn (Clock's Short Stab)	You would have thought that given that track 1 was produced by clock and was right at the height of their popularity, that this single would have at least made the top 75 never mind the top 40. But no, not even the top 100. You could easily think it IS clock and I'm sure they (Popcorn) thought it was a dead cert for a top 40 hit. Track 2 is a club mix but I've never been in a club that would ever play anything like this, well maybe a workman's club!. This is a cover of an original hit by Hot Butter which got to number 5 in 1972

The record shop where I bought it regularly had PA's but I don't remember seeing the band there. The jewel case sticker hints at promo but again, I'm not sure.
