I've changed this to a bootleg CD-R as I assume someone somewhere will download and burn etc. a bit like the Purple Chick entries.

Various Artists - The Mike Raven Blues Sampler
Review
A great collection of blues (classics) hosted by Mike Raven. The selection is excellent but (big BUT) Mike introduces each tracks and gives a bit of information on the artist.

Now if you follow UK comedy shows you've only got to look at his (and his wife's) medallions whilst listening to the album to understand where the inspiration for the following comedy clip came from! Nice!

Rated 9/10
I streamed this movie last night and fully agree with Quad5point1 that this is a truly wonderful movie. Steve Coogan and John C Reilly excel in the roles as Laurel & Hardy and whilst there are great moments when the "live" comedy performances are portrayed, it is the story behind the characters where they both get it so right.

The story revolves around the latter years of the famous duo and the struggles they encountered trying to reignite their movie careers. It gives an insight to their personal lives and more importantly how each character interacted away from the camera.

As said, it is at times a very moving movie but also one that has you smiling through the watery eyes.

A must see!

Based on my comments on MR 3787 I think this one should be dated 1947.

I have changed this entry's date from 1942. According to a Regal Zonophone flyer in my possession this was a new issue for March 1947. The US release is dated Jan 1947.

International release (at least USA & Europe) with same cat# however you will see from the scans that the Europe version has Sony logo on sleeve, labels and inner sleeve whilst the US version has the FBI warning on the jacket.

Not aware if the US issue came with an inner sleeve.
