Kay Starr - Rock And Roll Waltz / I've Changed My Mind A Thousand Times
I bought this new (blue label) in the late winter of 1956. Where is it now?

Ken Mackintosh - The Buccaneers / Regimental Rock
Get those arms swinging!
Dig those heels in!
Left! Right!

David Clews - Bells On Christmas Day / Did Santa Have A Daddy
Blimey! I've never heard this one.

Anyone ever heard this?

Jeff Chandler - Half Of My Heart / Hold Me
Mighty rare, I'd say.

78 RPM
Lyn Avalon - Crazy Crazy / Missin' Your Kissin'
From the same label, and issued at the same time as the great Big Boy, I wonder what this is like - a pre-rocker, perhaps? Anyone ever heard it?

Lighthouse All Stars - Big Boy (Part 1) / Big Boy (Concl.)
Man! That's what I call honking! (Issued on LONDON in May 1953 - so much for rock'n'roll beginning with Haley).
Imagine how much this would be worth on a LONDON 45.

Norma Douglas - Be It Resolved / Joe He Gone
Although there's total silence concerning this, I do have a copy on 45. I mention this because neither the 78 nor the 45 has ever appeared on EBay, neither - as far as I know - has anyone seen a copy (at any speed).

The Spiders - I'm Slippin' In / I'm Searching
Surely one of the rarest LONDON releases - 45 or 78.

Glenn Miller - (I've Got A Gal In) Kalamazoo / At Last
Concerning the video of Kalamazoo: You've got to hand it to the Yanks, they're absolutely peerless at this kind of thing. An atmosphere of charm and optimism pervades every second of this glorious item.O. K., the song's silly, but that doesn't detract from the inherent message of happiness and joy.

Glenn Miller - (I've Got A Gal In) Kalamazoo / At Last
Concerning At Last: the most interesting popular singers are those who have the ability to make a happy song sound sad (and a sad song even sadder). Roy Eberle doesn't quite make it, but he has the right idea. Perhaps the principle exponent of this art was Connie Francis.

Bobby Please - Your Driver's License, Please / Heartache Street
Has anyone ever seen a copy of this (on 78)? Does it exist?

78 RPM
Joe Morris Orchestra - I Had A Notion / Just Your Way Baby
Absolutely top-rate r'n'b, with a wallpaper-scraping tenor solo. If only this had come out on a 45! I reckon it would go for £500 or so if it had.

78 RPM
T-Bone Walker - The Hustle Is On / Baby Broke My Heart
Top rate groover. If only it had been released on a 45!

78 RPM
Smilin' Joe - ABC's Part 1 / ABC's Part 2
If only this had been released one month later! How much would it be worth on a 45?

Lighthouse All Stars - Big Boy (Part 1) / Big Boy (Concl.)
Absolute knockout!

The Franz Winkler Trio - Weit Über Dem Meere / Die Alte Schmiede
Blimey! I bet this didn't sell many copies.

Bobby Please - Your Driver's License, Please / Heartache Street
There's a lot of discussion about the non-existent 45 of this. Can anyone put up a photo. of the 78?

The Champs - Everybody's Rockin'
I bought this in 1959 - and I've still got it! (Truly a modern miracle).

La Vern Baker - La Vern Baker
I've got the English (LONDON) pressing of this; it's never mentioned anywhere.

I bought this new at Bud Headlam's in Whitby in 1959; it was still undeleted then.
