tf40408 26th Mar 2018 | | CD AlbumBlackfoot - Strikes | I believe Country should be USA. Disc rimprint clearly states Made In USA By WEA Manufacturing.
tf40408 21st Mar 2018 | | CD AlbumCream - Live Cream | My copy is identical to this except the label is RSO. Same catalog number and barcode. Made in West Germany on the disc.
tf40408 21st Mar 2018 | | CD AlbumSheryl Crow - Sheryl Crow | Track 2 title is shown on the disc and the back cover of the jewel box as "A Change Would Do You Good".
tf40408 21st Mar 2018 | | CD AlbumDef Leppard - On Through The Night | As great as the rest of Def Leppard's catalog is, it is a huge surprise to listen to this album. Very weak material here. The next album "High 'N Dry" is superb, as well as "Pyromania" and, of course "Hysteria" is flawless. This album is really not worth having, except to complete a collection.
tf40408 21st Mar 2018 | | CD AlbumVarious Artists - More Dirty Dancing | My copy (not a CD club edition but a regular store release) had track 1 listed as "Baby's Walk" instead of "Time Of My Life (Instrumental)" like is shown here. Also, Track 15 on mine copy is titled "Lifts In The Lake Theme (Finale)" The tracks runs at the same running time, so I can only assume same tracks just had a name change. Would be interested in finding out which version was first...Would anyone think that these 2 track title changes would warrant a separate entry? Otherwise the catalog number is the same although the barcode is slightly different.

tf40408 11th Mar 2018 | | CD AlbumEagles - Their Greatest Hits 1971-1975 | Added Columbia House catalog number.
tf40408 9th Mar 2018 | | CD AlbumFirehouse - Firehouse | This album was a late entry into the "Hair Band" genre. Had it been released, say, 1987 or 1988 I think it would have been more commercially successful because it stands firm in quality beside other "Hair Band" classics like Slaughter "Stick It To Ya", Cinderella "Long Cold Winter" and even Motley Crue "Dr. Feelgood". If you are a 80's rock fan, this is a must-have album.
tf40408 27th Feb 2018 | | CD AlbumINXS - Kick | Whitewhale, your catalog # is the same as my CD and is a Columbia House issue. Same release as this one, no new entry needed.
tf40408 13th Feb 2018 | | CD AlbumK.C. And The Sunshine Band - The Best Of KC And The Sunshine Band | RecordDragon it is the 45 edit version.
tf40408 12th Feb 2018 | | CD AlbumKiss - You Wanted The Best, You Got The Best!! | Track 13 interview session with Jay Leno recorded on The Tonight Show, NBC Television.
tf40408 12th Feb 2018 | | CD AlbumKiss - Double Platinum | Executive Producer Jimmy Ienner...Not Jimmy Iovine
"Strutter '78" is a remix version of the original 45 version.
"Calling Dr. Love" is a alternate version than the version released on "Rock 'N' Roll Over" or the 45 release.
tf40408 3rd Feb 2018 | | CD AlbumKorn - Follow The Leader | CD features 12 blank 5 second tracks before beginning at track 13 with the actual CD, and the track listing on the jewel box begins as track 13.
tf40408 30th Jan 2018 | | CD AlbumLiving Colour - Time's Up | Composer credits are listed in the fold-out cover insert, however, the writing is so small I can not accurately attempt to enter it at this time.
tf40408 25th Jan 2018 | | CD AlbumSteve Perry - Street Talk | Yes U.S. release, the CD above I am holding in my hand right now and the image above has been cropped to close, but if you look at the bottom rim about the 7'o clock position you can see the top of the Columbia "walking eye" box that is printed on the rim just before the words "Manufactured In U.S.A."...most likely at Columbia Terre Haute Indiana. When Nig31el cropped his image he cropped this wording and the remainder rim of the CD from the image.
tf40408 24th Jan 2018 | | CD AlbumRatt - Ratt & Roll 8191 | I corrected the catalog number so it works properly in the search engine.
tf40408 23rd Jan 2018 | | CD AlbumRed Hot Chili Peppers - What Hits!? | Disc pictured here is not the disc that goes with this entry. The disc pictured is Californication not What hits.
Mod Edit: Fixed
tf40408 23rd Jan 2018 | | CD AlbumRed Hot Chili Peppers - Blood Sugar Sex Magik | This album is amazing. One of the rare albums you put on and every song is so great you don't even think about skipping anything. This is in my top 5 favorite albums of all time...and I am not really what you would call a rap fan, so that is saying something.
tf40408 22nd Jan 2018 | | CD AlbumThe Rolling Stones - Singles Collection | This could not have been released in August of 1989 because I bought my copy of this in July of 1989, so the release date would have had to be at least June of 1989 if not before...
tf40408 20th Jan 2018 | | CD AlbumSimon And Garfunkel - Simon And Garfunkel's Greatest Hits | I have no idea where the 2003 date came from but the sale date sticker is still on my copy of this showing I bought it at Record Bar in July 1990. Same catalog number and same barcode...2003 date is wrong. Just saying...
tf40408 20th Jan 2018 | | CD AlbumSoundgarden - Superunknown | This album is so great that I have had it for 22 years now and have never yet been able to listen to the whole album all the way through non-stop. Every song is so unique and chilling that I find myself repeating each track several times before advancing to the next one, and the fact that this is a LONG album...over 70 minutes...you need a whole day devoted to just listening to this album in order to get all the way through it! Easily this is on my "Desert Island" albums list.
tf40408 19th Jan 2018 | | CD AlbumStone Temple Pilots - Purple | I agree with Magic Marmalade, although I felt this way immediately after buying it in 1994 as opposed to re-visiting this 20 years later. This is the most listenable and enjoyable of all the "grunge" albums, and the ones Magic referenced are "THE" holy-grail of "grunge". Of the holy grail, "Purple" ranks #1, Soundgarden "Superunknown" is #2, Pearl Jam "Ten" is #3 and, sorry folks, Nirvana "Nevermind" comes in last. FWIW, I rather prefer STP's next release "Tiny Music" to anything by Nirvana as well. If you can only own 3 albums from the 90's, make it "Purple", "Superunknown" and "Ten".
tf40408 15th Jan 2018 | | CD AlbumTraveling Wilburys - Traveling Wilburys Vol. 1 | I realize the disc pictured here has promotional copy not for sale printed on it, but my copy is identical to this entry in everyway except the promotional copy language, so the classification of this entry should not be promo only, as a promo is usually a different coupling than a stock copy, this is just a regular issue CD that happens to have the promotional jargon stamped on it.
tf40408 10th Jan 2018 | | CD AlbumVarious Artists - Feel Good 80s | All The composer info is printed inside the CD tri-fold underneath the clear plastic tray for CD1, in very tiny writing. The size of the print, coupled with the varying heights of the plastic CD tray (which is not removable) makes this old man unable to read well enough to list here. My apologies.
tf40408 27th Dec 2017 | | Vinyl AlbumLynyrd Skynyrd - Skynyrd's First And...Last | This record concludes with an alternate version of "Things Goin' On" than the version that was previously released on Pronounced. Both versions are great, but this version is worth the price of admission for buying the LP.
tf40408 26th Dec 2017 | | Vinyl AlbumRick Springfield - Working Class Dog | You wouldn't expect much depth from this album, being he was a star on the daytime soap opera General Hospital when this came out, but this is actually a great album. Of course, it's got the mega-hit "Jessie's Girl", but "Hole In My Heart" and "Love Is Alright Tonite" are both just as catchy and melodic. The filler songs "Everybody's Girl" and "Daddy's Pearl" are both great little brain worms and then the album concludes with one of the most beautiful songs ever recorded about making love with his love "Inside Sylvia" is a song that I can't listen to just once - I have to play it over and over and just get lost inside Sylvia....Rick Springfield probably didn't intend it, but he made one of the best albums of the 80's when he wrote and recorded Working Class Dog.
tf40408 25th Dec 2017 | | Vinyl Album38 Special - Strength In Numbers | Alternate cover that is identical to images above except the large block picture numbers are missing was also issued.
tf40408 20th Dec 2017 | | Vinyl AlbumVarious Artists - WPOP Hear Here Vol. 2 | Check out the track listing from this compilation...not a single filler track here! The best compilation album I have hands-down. Even though this is a vanity album from AM station WPOP 1410, this album contains the extended version of "Green Eyed Lady" that I never heard on the radio back then....Great liner notes as well written by station program director Bob Paiva
tf40408 20th Dec 2017 | | Vinyl AlbumVarious Artists - Disco Mania | I wonder who decided a disco collection should include "Lady" by Styx and "Hey You" by BTO...or even "Rock And Roll All Night" for that matter.....I am actually surprised "Tie A Yellow Ribbon" didn't make the play list here!
tf40408 20th Dec 2017 | | Vinyl AlbumVarious Artists - Today's Super Greats, Part 1 | This DID come as a box set, with the cover almost identical to the cover of the 3rd part release with only difference I can see instead of the "Part 3" underneath the word Super it contains "3 Record Set". Catalog # is simply TU-231. I will create a entry for this box set.
