wbanthony 6th Oct 2021		12" Single Sheena Easton - So Far So Good (Extended Dance Version)	This version, remixed by Rusty Garner, is actually "The Red Mix" (as the sticker on the cover indicated). Running time 8:10. The label incorrectly names it "Extended Dance Mix". There is another 12" release of this song (EMI America V-19216) that was remixed by Chris Lord Alge and is called "Extended Dance Mix". Running time 5:26.
wbanthony 19th Jul 2021		12" Single Naked Eyes - Always Something There To Remind Me (Remixed Version)	SPRO-9891 "Long Version" has the original UK 12" version mixed by producer Tony Mansfield (6:13). SPRO-9924 "Remixed Version" is a newer remix by Jellybean (5:41) that starts with drums only. It was also released in the UK as "American Remix". The U.S. Jellybean 12" mix is on the 2018 Chrysalis CD re-issue of their first album, and also on the CD "Everything And More" released by One Way/EMI, although the One Way CD incorrectly labels it as being the Tony Mansfield 12" mix. Confusion.
wbanthony 21st Jun 2021		12" Single Jeffrey Osborne - Plane Love (Specially Remixed Version)	Interesting that this was not released as a 7" single, only on 12" single - the ballad "We're Going All The Way" was out on 7" at the same time - Plane Love made #10 R&B, the ballad #16 R&B and #48 Pop.
wbanthony 8th Apr 2021		CD Album Stray Cats - Rant N' Rave With The Stray Cats	This CD has the censored/bleeped recording of Rebels Rule. The original LP and cassette had the un-censored version. I don't think the un-censored version has ever been released on CD, for sure in the USA. Could be on some import compilation.
wbanthony 8th Apr 2021		Vinyl Album Stray Cats - Rock Therapy	Absolutely great 4th album by the Cats (3rd album in USA) - especially side 1 - released July or August 1986 and largely ignored. The record company didn't even release a single from it in the USA or UK ! Their best CD compilations tend to have either 1 song or no songs from this classic.
wbanthony 8th Apr 2021		Vinyl Album Stray Cats - Built For Speed	They appeared on USA television around November 1981 on the show "Fridays" around the time their 2nd album "Gonna Ball" was released in the UK. They rocked out and were amazing - I found both their albums as imports a few weeks later. Those first two albums were NEVER released in the USA - just this compilation with 11 of the tracks plus the new "Built For Speed" song.
wbanthony 11th Mar 2021		Vinyl Album Bread - The Best Of Bread Volume II	Beautiful album artwork on this one, although it includes only 3 hits. All us bread fans were happy to fork over our cash for a copy anyway. David Gates "next" album (mentioned on the inner sleeve) turned out to be "Never Let Her Go" in January 1975, which gave him his first top 40 solo hit in the title song. In late 1975, Elektra announced an album called "David Gates Songbook" which was to include his bread hits and solo hits too, including Clouds, Sail Around The World, Never Let Her Go and Part Time Love. The album was cancelled/never released, and outside of being mentioned in the Schwann catalog at the time and some trade magazines, is mostly unknown. The front cover title and "bread" logo here are based on the cover of the UK version of The Best Of Bread from late 1972.
wbanthony 11th Mar 2021		Vinyl Album Bread - Bread	as "leonard" pointed out, this promo-only LP says (P)1971 but it includes 4 tracks from the January 1972 album "Baby I'm-A Want You": Mother Freedom (single released June 1971), Baby I'm-A Want You (single released October 1971), Everything I Own (single released January 1972) and Down On My Knees. It's possible that this LP was released in November or December of 1971 to record stores and radio stations for the holiday season, but included the not-yet-released Everything I Own and Down On My Knees. Or maybe the (P)1971 is a mistake and it was released early 1972..... This LP includes the mono single mix of It Don't Matter To Me, instead of the stereo mix that later appeared on The Best Of Bread.

David played the (uncredited) alto sax solo on the hit single "The Seduction" by James Last, which peaked on the charts in April or May 1980 - and then he recorded a new version of the song with his producers, which was added to this re-released HIDEAWAY during the summer of 1980 (the song Anything You Want was shortened on the 8-song reissue). Warner Brothers sued Polydor (James Last's label) when the song was a hit, but Polydor won the right to keep the song on the market. David was not credited on the "Seduction" album by James Last because of this.

wbanthony 23rd Jun 2019		Vinyl Album Art Garfunkel - Watermark	First pressing did not include "What A Wonderful World" but included "Fingerpaint", a Jimmy Webb song. Lead single "Crying In My Sleep" didn't even make the charts at all in September and October of 1977. The album was reissued with the new duet with Paul Simon and James Taylor added in January 1978, with "Fingerpaint" removed.
