Yes, that is indeed a fascinating historical document. The feat of Capt. Koehl, Maj. Fitzmaurice, and Baron von Huenefeld is still commemorated with a bronze plaque on Bremen's historic town hall.

crew of the Bremen, who made the first east-to-west transatlantic flight between April 12 and 13, 1928, and were fêted with a parade in New York on April 30, 1928.
