Type #1 has A/B sides and mentions US issue & mx at 9; type 3 omits these. Type #2 is the rarest variant and I have only a bad image of its A-side, which is intermediate between types #1 & #3.

Nos. 7 & 8 (1950)	HMV B-9887 - added 2 variants of A-side; #1 with different copyright logos (Chappell, BIEM) (also on discogs) and #2 (DT is present) with later DTP tax code. I think we are here near the change of DT to DTP, but do not know the official date.

(A Lover's Lament) (1927)	Br(Au) 3585 - These Australian Brunswicks are very similar to the original US issues, having the same cat.nr, main titles & credit. Is it possible to make an entry for the US issue without typing all info again? In this case someone else can add the US label images to the new entry.

Discogs lists however an earlier issue on HMV B-355 (2 label variants) by The Venetian Trio. There are several Victor releases, and DAHR is a little confusing at first sight. Victor 20130 has Humoresque from 3 Sep 1925, mx BVE-13837. - Title B is Berceuse ...

han enderman 18th Aug 2024		78 RPM Ted Lewis - While We Danced Till Dawn / Just Around The Corner (1925)	Co 504-D - label types #5 (A-side) & #6 (Ted Lewis picture label) added. #5A is from the same copy as the West Coast image from valueyourmusic; both sides show the West Coast G3 stamper (if useful, I can add this #5B side). It is possible that this label type #5 was used on East Coast pressings too. The picture label has a 3-line legend below the logo, and the images are from a black shellac copy, but it also occurs on the blue wax pressing.

han enderman 18th Aug 2024		78 RPM Frankie Trumbauer - Second New Rhythm Style Series, No. 103 & 104 (1935)	Par R-2097 - added label type #2 A/B (gold label with "or" at 5) and type #3b A with DT tax code. I assume A #3b is a later printing of type #3, as the title line has been reset (and is similar to #4), while #3a (ST) resembles #2 (note distance between "Fox-Trot" and composer).

han enderman 16th Aug 2024		78 RPM Webb Pierce - In The Jailhouse Now / I'm Gonna Fall Out Of Love With You (1954)	De 29391 - added images of label type #2 Richmond pressing (#2R), characterized by the ◈ symbol after the mx at 9, but also - I assume - by "with" in the description in lower case, whereas the ✤ Gloversville pressing has a cross- or cloverlike symbol and prints "With" with W in upper case. These pressing variants can be found on all label types, and there may be also different fonts and layouts.

Nashville) 3 Dec & 14 July 1954 (from Ruppli, Decca Labels 5). Is the release date December 1954? Discogs is chaotic and maybe the date is 1955. - The copy uploaded by sfelix couples 2 different label types, at present #2 (catnr at 6) & #3 (both sides present from another copy).

han enderman 14th Aug 2024		78 RPM "Fats" Waller - Basin Street Blues / I Ain't Got Nobody (1937)	HMV B-8636 - added label images of first edition B (A already present) and 2nd edition, and a variant of B #3. These early pressings seem to be uncommon, so I added these images as they are not on discogs. The 4 main types here are: #1 - coloured nipper logo; "nor" at 1 in rim legend; no "Made in ..." at 3 #2 - monochrome logo; "or" at 1; no "Made in ..." at 3 #3 - "Made in England" in italics at 3 #4 - "MADE IN ENGLAND" in caps; long rim legend. Within these main types there may be variants with different publishers. In this case are known: A #4b; B #3b.
han enderman 13th Aug 2024		78 RPM Pilar Arcos - Sonsa / Lola (1926)	Co 2415-X - images of the original issue are on the youtube video, with '13-'23 patent dates and 2-line legend below the logo. Recording date will have been shortly after the Sam Manning 27 May 1926 session that produced mxs 95118-21 on 2409/2410-X (Hold Him Joe etc.), so ca. June 1926. DAHR gives ca. Sep 1926 for mx 95282 and ca. Nov 1926 for mx 95362 by Pilar Arcos, so a general indication might be 40 mxs per month at the time in this 95000 mx series.

The chronological sequence of the bottom patent legends is: Jan 13-May 23 / 13-RE / 13-2xRE / 2xRE. Note that on type #1, without © at 8, the Needles legend at 3 is in a lower position.
