HBRALLAN 11th Oct 2024 | | 78 RPMCarl "Deacon" Moore And His Town And Country Boys - Arkansas Boogie / A Woman Gets Tired (Lovin' The Same Man) (1948) | 4 STAR 1234 was issued at least twice. The instrumental, titled here as “Arkansas Boogie” and credited to Carl "Deacon" Moore And His Town And Country Boys was in fact either a reissue of Cecil Gant’s “Lightning Blues”, or Kenny & The Trailblazers version of “Sally Goodin’”.
Gant’s “Lightning Blues” is identified by 500-CG-14.B in the deadwax of 4 STAR 1234, whilst Kenny & The Trailblazers, which was released after 4 Star 1234 was issued, is identified by 4☆ 1818 in the deadwax
4 Star seem to have got quite a bit of milage out of Kenny & The Trailblazers “Sally Goodin’” as it resurfaced yet again, entitled on that occasion.as “Squeakin’ Deacon Hop” on the flip of another of “Deacon Moore’s” 4 Star releases (4 Star 1259).
