This label started around 1948 and released three 78 singles: #101, #201, and #301. I have all three and they are nothing special.

mathewdh 14th Mar 2018 | | 78 RPMHigh Pockets Busse With The Frontiersmen - Tired Out From Cryin' / Tell Me | The Velvet Record Company was started by Dixie Earl Bryant to have only recordings of the songs written by her. By the end of 1955 she had 30 songs recorded and started releasing them in early 1956. The label codes for each side are for a particular song title. E-GAR-27 was also paired with E-GAR-30 on another 78 single. The highest numbered song I know of is E-GAR-34. The more famous version of "Tell Me" was done by Slim Whitman in 1956.
It was a vanity label that never sold well. The songwriter died in 1981.
