moondog 24th Dec 2024		78 RPM Johnnie Ray - Look Homeward, Angel / You Don't Owe Me A Thing (1957)	Review I agree this is one of Johnnie's best but we shouldn't underestimate the effect of Ray Conniff's backing on many recordings around this time. His "chop guitar" sound (more noticeable on the B side) together with some echo contributed to the hit sound for Johnnie and many others at Columbia. 1 person found this review helpful. ✔︎ Helpful Review?
moondog 4th Apr 2020		78 RPM Randolph Sutton - Is Izzy Azzy Woz? / Mademoiselle Pomme-De-Terre (1929)	Review This is a clever and very catchy novelty song. moondog 29th Mar 2019		78 RPM Frann Weigle - My Diary Of Broken Dreams / Rockin' Chair (1949)	Review The US London label shows the artist as: The Multiple Voices of Frann Weigle. The A side is like the Ink Spots and the flip is like the Mills Bros. The male vocal group sound would clearly have been created by multi-tracking.
