This 78 wasn't the first one. I've got an old Regal Zonophone export list from the late 40s. There are some great U.S. Columbia and RCA releases - Gene Autry, Jimmie Rodgers, Carter Family, Montana Slim, Carson Robison, Riley Puckett, Texas Jim Robertson, Roy Rogers, The Bar X Cowboys, Bill Boyd, Bob Atcher, Bob Wills and Floyd Tillman. The Eddy Arnold release is - Chained to a memory/To my sorrow - Eddy Arnold and his Plowboys (Regal Zonophone ME65) October 1948
