Unless my mind's playing tricks on me somehow (a rarity, given my usual eye and ear for detail).
Whichever way you slice it, however, {Images #1243006 & 1243007} is definitely a circa 1945-46 pressing. (The "Reg. U.S. Pat. Off." from what I gathered, first showed up around 1947.)

W.B.lbl 5th Oct 2023 | ![](//images.45worlds.com/t/78/king-cole-trio-sweet-lorraine-1944-78-t.jpg) | 78 RPMKing Cole Trio - Sweet Lorraine / Embraceable You (1944) | Capitol was one of the first - if not THE first - of the major labels to use magnetic tape, in 1948. Thus they were in an advantageous position once the second AFM recording ban ended that December. They started out with the Ampex 200's where the recording head was opposite from future models.
I don't think the other labels got into tape until early on in the next year. Based on what I read in an Al Jolson discography, Decca didn't get on board the tape cavalcade until the middle of '49, and again with 200's. Columbia got Ampex 300's starting around Spring 1949. RCA Victor had their own brand tape machines to record and play back with.

Also notice, on the left of the Hollywood variant, how that blurb is laid out. Contrasts wildly with how Bridgeport did so.

P. M." as on the first 22 years or so of Atlantic 45's was in place right there in the same spot.
