Biography - ARA 
USA
Founded in 1944 by Russian-born naturalized US citizen Boris Morros as a cover for Soviet spy activities. ARA advertised its first releases in March 1945. The label started out with jazz and pop records. Later it expanded into C&W and children's music. By mid-1946, problematic accounting practices by CEO Mark Leff forced the closure of ARA's pressing facility and soon led to bankruptcy.
