From 1928 to 1931, Clifford Industries Ltd. produced several cheap labels for chain stores.
In late 1931, Clifford Industries Ltd. was sold to Klippel Record Co., Ltd. This company lasted until mid-late 1932.

Along with the Clifford label, they also pressed: Angelus, Electron, Embassy (9000 Series), Golden Tongue, Gracelon, Grand Pree, Melotone, Orpheus, Paramount, Plaza, Regent, Starr, Sterling, and Worth.
As Klippel Record Co., they pressed: Lyric, and Summit.
