Biography - Dome    USA

BILLBOARD [Page 18] 25th September 1948 reported that DOME Records, a subsidiary of the music publisher COUNTRY MUSIC, a BMI affiliate, had purchased fifty masters, including recordings by Chuck Harding AND The Colorado Cowhands, from an undisclosed source. In the 24th February 1949 issue of BILLBOARD listed on Page 33 a list of the suppliers who were distributing DOME.
Three years later, 29th November 1953, that erstwhile publication reported that DOME Records Inc, had taken over the PROCESS label from Norman Kelly of Franklin, PA. Three months later, in the 30th January 1954 issue of BILLBOARD, there was a news report that noted that attorneys acting for CAPITOL Records asked DOME to stop using DOME as their label trademark. Obviously they declined as two years later the DOME Label was still listed as active in BILLBOARD!
