Dominion Gramophone Records Limited, Luton Beds, England.

First released ‘with panache' in October 1928 from their head office in Great Marlborough Street, London.

Numbering began at A.1 and continued to at least A.267 in April 1930.

Early issues came from Cameo and Perfect in America; Dominion's own recordings began at 1001, in August 1928, lasting till number 1726.

Ebay has listed Share certicificate 477 (100 shares) unclear if 10% participating preference shares of 5s/- each (320,000) or (And)/ 1,000,000 Deferred Shares of 1/- each = Capital of £130,000 in 1929) or even if fully or partly paid of Dominion Gramophone Records (Foreign and Colonial) Limited


Labels: There was also a blue label for their ‘Classic' series, and a red label.

Artists: Many pressings of the Savoy Orpheans, or Jay Wilbur and his Band; Wilbur was the Dominion's musical director until early 1930. Wilbur was also behind the Deauville Dance Orchestra, The Brooklyn Broadcasters, and the Moonlight (and Midnight) Serenaders.

Dominion ceased trading mid 1930.
