Biography - Edison Bell Radio UK Veteran discographer Jim Hayes has published a discography of Radio and Edison Bell Radio records by the late Arthur Badrock, which is available for download here. Jim has very kindly given permission for all his discographies to be used by other researchers (Thanks Jim!) so the following is taken from the introduction. 8” double sided, 78rpm RADIO records, were marketed between circa April and July 1928. Manufactured by Edison Bell Limited, they cost 1/3d each., and were sold generally. The catalogue series ran from 801 to circa 852, and the labels were PURPLE with GOLD lettering. 8" double sided, 78rpm EDISON BELL RADIO records, were marketed between circa August 1928 and April 1932. Manufactured by Edison Bell Limited, they cost l/3d each (from August 1928 to December 1930), later reduced to 1/- each (from January 1931 onwards), and were sold generally. The catalogue series ran from 801 to 1605 (issues 801 to circa 852 were re-issues of the RADIO series) but there were no issues numbered 1000 to 1219 inclusive. The labels were PURPLE with GOLD lettering, but circa September 1931 (circa issue 1524), the label colour was changed to GOLD with BLACK lettering. « Discography Edit This Biography : Biography Credits
