Biography - Gateway USA The same company, located in Cincinnati, OH, also produced the labels Gateway Top Tune and Gateway Parade of Hits and Big 4 Hits. Gateway Records was a budget label founded in 1952 by Carl Burkhardt and Chuck Seitz. It released records under several series, such as the Gateway Extended Play Series and Gateway Top Tune (from 1954), and subsidiary labels, such as Parade of Hits (1955-1956) and Big 4 Hits (1952-1956). In 1955, Burkhardt set up his own pressing plant, Rite Records Productions, Inc. In 1957, the company moved to Philadelphia, PA. « Discography Edit This Biography : Biography Credits
