The Golden Record Company Inc., Los Angeles, CA. Founded by Theophilus Fitz in 1922, as the first record lab and press in Los Angeles. Records were initially supposed to be golden in color, but soon used regular black shellac. The company specialized on making custom-made records for the private use.
