Subsidiary label of RCA, established in February 1954 for R&B releases and run by Manie Sacks and with Danny Kessler in charge of A&R.
Mothballed end of 1956/ early 1957 and artists mover over to other RCA labels
Reactivated in late1961 as a budget label
In 1963 they began to take the label more seriously making it a fully fledged member of the family yet again.
