Biography - Hot Wax 
USA
Detroit, MI label founded by local music store owner Edward Kiely in cooperation with jukebox supplier Buhl Sons Co. around 1940 and releasing hillbilly novelty and hillbilly blues by local country & western bands. Many Hot Wax releases were reissued by its successor Mellow Records.
Not to be confused with the 1969-73 label of the same name founded by Holland, Dozier and Holland (and sister to Invictus Records).
