Biography - Hot Wax ![]() Detroit, MI label founded by local music store owner Edward Kiely in cooperation with jukebox supplier Buhl Sons Co. around 1940 and releasing hillbilly novelty and hillbilly blues by local country & western bands. Many Hot Wax releases were reissued by its successor Mellow Records.
