Biography - Little John ![]() American kiddy record label, produced by Precision Plastics in Philadelphia, PA, from 1950-1952. So far red plastic has only been seen in the initial releases in the 100 series. The next two series used yellow or green along with black. Label info President Edward W. Danien marketed these 5" injection moulded unbreakable discs as "At 10c World's Cheapest Records." Sold through chain-stores who bought them into stock without return right. Any new music was specially written by Pat Ballard. Danien never considered himself a record man, saying he was in the Toy Business and was supplying accessories. Seems like the first batch of ten discs 101 - 110 were dated 1950. The second batch 201 - 210 marked 1951. The Christmas batch X-1 to X-10 marked 1952. Strangely, a Billboard article dated 17 November 1951 states, "Ten records are now on the market with an additional ten due for release set for the first of the next year." So far red plastic has only been seen in the initial releases in the 100 series. The next two series used yellow or green along with black. « Discography Edit This Biography : Biography Credits
