Germany
LONDON was a record label featuring mainly US American artists. In Germany the LONDON-label was launched in the year 1954 by the record company TELDEC. In 1950 the German Telefunken Company formed a joint venture with the British DECCA company. The new name was TELDEC.
London was an international label in the UK, mostly featuring US Stars. In 1954 some artists and songs became for the first time available in Germany. The production of German LONDON 78 rpm records lasted from 1954 to 1957, and not many were released in comparison with UK London's output. In 1955 TELDEC launched the first 45-rpm versions as German London singles.
