Biography - MGM 
USA
Founded in 1947, MGM released the soundtrack of MGM films, but also pop and country music.
From 1949, all MGM 78s were pressed on Metrolite, and two stars were added to each side of the MGM lion. Around May 1950, a Registered Trademark symbol ® was attached to the MGM lion. At the end of 1952, matrix numbers were added below the catalog numbers on the labels. The last MGM 78s appeared in June 1958.
