Biography - Mouez Breiz France Started by Hermann Wolf in the early 1950s in Quimper, this label issued 44 78rpm discs and several hundred other records on 45rpm and 33⅓rpm - 7", 10" and 12" records. They always had a link to Brittany and Breton artists. Most of them were recorded by Wolf himself on his own recording machine and even with his own record press to produce the records. One of his musician friends Polig Montjarret was also a graphic designer. He created the logo of the pig playing the bagpipes and used his interest in Celtic designs to produce a stock image of Celtic knotwork which is found on many of the 7" EPs and some of the 10" (25cm) records too. Sadly, the record company came to an abrupt end in 1991. An important part of the cultural legacy (Patrimoine) of Brittany and France as a whole. « Discography Edit This Biography : Biography Credits
