Biography - NS-Schallplatten-Industrie Germany Label active from c. April, 1932 through at least mid-1933. Early matrices were from the Brillant company, later issues feature original recordings made by the Tonographic Society. The first label bears a swastika against a plain white background, which was followed by a label design based upon the NSDAP flag: a Swastika inside a red ring, with the name "NS-Schallplatten-Industrie." Some labels bear a subtitle reading "parteiamtlich anerkannt." Later issues read "Die Hakenreuz-Platte der NS-Schallplatten-Industrie." After the passage of the "Law on the Protection of National Symbols" of May 19, 1933, the label changed its name to "Viktoria" and the new design featured an eagle with a wreath of oak leaves in its claws. The catalog numbers switched from 2000 numbers to 4000 numbers while the old matrices were used.
