Budget label owned by the Firestone Tire & Rubber Company in Acron, Ohio. The company produced Firestone radios and consoles, and from 1939-1944 also phonograph records under the Philharmonic label; in 1940, it trademarked the name Air Chief, originally for air conditioning units, but it was soon also used for radios and for Philharmonic Air Chief records. The records were sold by Firestone dealers and service stations from 1939-1944. Matrices were derived from Columbia, The Gramophone Co. Ltd.,
