Biography - Philharmonic USA Budget label owned by the Firestone Tire & Rubber Company in Acron, Ohio. The company produced Firestone radios and consoles, and from 1939-1944 also phonograph records under the Philharmonic label; in 1940, it trademarked the name Air Chief, originally for air conditioning units, but it was soon also used for radios and for Philharmonic Air Chief records.
