"Tslil - Palestine Electrical Recording Company Ltd." was founded on April 21, 1947 in Tel Aviv (then part of Mandatory Palestine) and specialized in the recording and marketing of commercial records of music of Israel and classical music. The name "Tslil" means Melody. After the state of Israel was founded in May 1948, the company was renamed "Tslil - Israeli Electrical Recording Company Ltd."
