Esquire Boys - BiographyAmerican musical group in the pop/early rock and roll genre that was led initially by guitarist Danny Cedrone. Best known for being the first to record the song "Rock-a-Beatin' Boogie" written by Bill Haley (several years before Haley recorded his own version). Cedrone, who died in the summer of 1954, alternated between leading the Esquire Boys and working the Bill Haley as a session guitarist, most notably playing the guitar solo on Haley's 1954 recording of "Rock Around the Clock", elements of which can be heard in two different renditions of "Rock-a-Beatin' Boogie" that the Esquire Boys recorded and released. « Back to Discography Edit This Biography : Biography Credits
