Lord Beginner - BiographyCalypso musician from Trinidad (1904-1981) Calypso musician (1904–1981) Born Egbert Moore in Trinidad, Lord Beginner recorded for the Port-Of-Spain label in New York in May 1934 and for U.S. Decca in Trinidad in March 1935 (released as part of Decca's 17200 calypso series). In June 1948, he emigrated to Britain, where he soon helped start the Reggae craze of the early 1950s.
