Famous chanson-folk-easy listening singer during 1930's - 1940's

✞ July 16, 1954, Târgu Ocna, România

Became Romanian citizen after Basarabia returned to România in 1918.
Singer, actor, restaurateur in the interwar period, of Russian origin. He played almost exclusively in Russian.
Made many tours abroad in Paris, London, Vienna, Belgrade and Riga.

In Bucharest, România, was the owner Leșcenco Bar, on Victoria Avenue.
Arrested in 1951 was held at the Danube-Black Sea channel and died in hospital's prison Târgu Ocna.
