Sunnyland Slim - BiographyReal name: Albert Luandrew. Born 5 Sep 1906 in Quitman County, MS. Moved to Memphis, c.1925. Had a song about the “Sunnyland Train” (which ran from Memphis to St. Louis), from whence his stage name derived. Moved to Chicago in 1942 and became an important part of the post-war Chicago blues scene, playing with Muddy Waters, Robert Jr. Lockwood, Little Walter and Howlin Wolf among others.
