Trío Guayacán - BiographyInspired by the success of RCA Victor's popular expanded trio Hermanos Martínez Gil, the singer Martín Becerra formed Trío Guayacán in 1948, which also featured three guitars and voices plus a muted trumpet. Becerra himself served as the lead singer, and he persuaded Miguel Martínez from Mariachi Vargas de Tecalitlán to play muted trumpet on the 24 78-rpm records that they recorded between 1948 and 1949 for the Peerless label. « Back to Discography Edit This Biography : Biography Credits
