The vocal part on "Lambeth Walk" is sung in German, the song was also called "In Lambert's Nachtlokal". I guess that's why Ralph Maria Siegel is given credit as a composer as well.
Here's a nice video with good audio, but unfortunately playing Side A only.
Okay, thanks for the information. I will add a new entry...and I just noticed I managed to cut out the labels correctly but the background is black, not white. Sorry, I will try to correct this as well.
I just bought a South African copy of this record. The flip side is the same but it was released on the (to me unknown) *renown* label as N.1011. Matrix reads T7899-3 and T9800-3. Can't find anything about this release on the internet.
I do have the same record (UK pressing), but was released on Brunswick.
Should I make a new entry although the matrix and catalogue numbers are the same as above?
I do have a pressing of this record that was released on the Columbia label (DB.50106). I can't find any information on this issue, it was Made in India and contains the recordings from "The Jolson Story" (L4140 + L4141). Seems to be a very rare record, maybe you like to add label photos?
