Frankie Vaughan - The Green Door / Pity The Poor, Poor Man		"The Green Door" was very, very popular in late 1956. The popularity of this cover version, must have caused Philips to switch the A and B sides. I remember my mother taking me and my two sisters to John Burdon and Sons Ltd, the local music shop and record retailer situated in Yarm Lane, Stockton-on-Tees, to buy the record. My mother, a big Frankie Vaughan fan, could not get us back home fast enough to play the record on our wind-uip gramophone.
