 This is one of Handel's most famous works, a vocal selection often sung by voice students as well as famous opera stars. It has a stately, beautiful, stirring melody. It's actually an aria from the opera Serse (Xerxes), sung here by contralto Louise Kirkby Lunn in an English translation. On a single-sided disc.

A: Rest (Ombra Mai Fu) [OK on existing record]

Uniform title (headings added to the data entry to unite all versions of a title regardless of spelling, language, etc. This is the Library of Congress heading):
