The set of label variants illustrated here demonstrates that British Columbia consistently mis-spelled A-side composer Dave Dreyer's last name as Dryer. "Back In Your Own Back Yard" had music by Dave Dreyer and lyrics by Billy Rose. A share of the composer royalties was given to Al Jolson as an inducement for him to perform and record the song and generate royalties. It is doubtful he had any direct role in composing the song.
