| | I must have passed over this disc dozens of times over the years. I had never heard it, to my recollection, which seemed odd for what might have been a classic comedy routine. It was fortuitous that you had a clip on it, so I could correct that oversight. Now it seems I do recall hearing this or something similar on the radio, but I don't ever recall it being credited to Buchanan and Goodman. It was a bit of clever work, but never really hit its stride as funny, in my mind. If Buchanan and Goodman tried the same routine on their other records, I could see how it would lose its appeal pretty rapidly. |

Break-In Master 25th Dec 2013
| | Whyperion: Editing break-ins is pretty easy as long as you know how to splice tape accurately. Doing it in Magix is probably easier and faster, but I kinda prefer doing it on tape..
Jock_girl: Yeah, it sucks when they use faked hits. In the late `60's, Dickie even did that himself.. The sound was usually over-loaded and AWFUL and, in a few cases, he'd use the originals, but would have a sound-alike artist he hired re-record parts of it over top of the original, so, he DID use the originals, but changed them slightly so they would be the ACTUAL originals and that'd keep him from getting into trouble over using them. |

| | Unfortunately the re-issue/ collection CDs and LPs, unless they are of unofficial origin, replace a lot of the cut-ins with 'sound-alikes' that aren't all that great and really detract from the joke. |

| | Hi Whyperion You don't need a Powerful Computer. All You need Is Magix Audio Cleaning Lab. Any one off them. Them Record The Parts You want to mix together. It comes Out as a Sound Wave. Then Play through Your Recordings Find the Two Parts You want to Nit together. And You can Zoom In So You Can see the parts of the Sound wave Slide them about till It sounds Right Them Move to the next Section. You don't have to put the Sound Bites In the Right Order Ether. You can Move them around on the Spit Window. So Easy. I make Jingles for my Disco with this So I know It works.H. |

Whyperion SUBS 30th Jan 2013
| | I recall hearing something like this on the radio in the 1970s , almost the kind of thing Kenny Everett used to do on Capital/Radio 1. I have tried splicing tapes to in a similar manner , its not easy , maybe if I every get a powerful enough computer and a bit of extra time I might the splicings another go. |
