 Posted Cash Box review which is quite revealing. This particular record was one of a number of risque R&B songs of the time that seemed to have longish shelf lives without making it to any chart listings. Corny by today's standards but very unlikely to get airplay in 1952, yet Cash Box still gave it a very favourable review - the point being that Cash Box at that time was still primarily geared to the juke box trade and indeed a substantial part of the weekly publication was devoted to the coin machine industry. I can imagine smirking patrons dropping their nickels and dimes into boxes in bars and taverns to hear this one.
