 Here is a link to a Canadian issue licensed from the Plaza Music group, of "A Gay Caballero" as attributed to Buddy Bartlett, who is also actually Frank Luther. I wonder if the two records have the same recording, or whether they were done at different times.

 The composer of Side A, shown as Frank Crummit on the label, is almost certainly Frank Crumit, the popular singer and sometime songwriter of the day.

According to Tony Russell's Country Music Records 1921-1942, Weary Willie is a pseudonym for Frank Luther, another popular singer of the day. Weary Willie was a character that Emmitt Kelly portrayed in his performances as a clown. I'm not sure if a reference this early has any relation to him, though. Nobody should interpret the above note as indicating that this record is by Emmitt Kelly.
