Both these band names are widely used pseudonyms from the Regal/ARC pool of labels, one of which, Banner, supplied masters to Imperial between 1923 and 1926, when the blue label design illustrated here was discontinued. The pseudonyms probably carried over to the Imperial issues.. If you can match up this British issue with its American counterpart, you might be able to look it up in Sutton or Rust, otherwise they will be of little help in identifying the real bands behind these names. (Rust's American Record Label Book says that Imperial used its own control numbers in the wax instead of the original masters, so no help there.) There are 2 pages of identified American Roy Collins' discs and 6 pages of identified American Imperial Dance Orchestra discs in Sutton and many more that are not listed because they haven't been identified. Too many candidates, not enough clues. The answer may well be in the ADBD, if you are determined enough to find it. Right now, I'm not, but good hunting if you are,

For what it is wowrth, Sutton considers Billy West to usually be Billy Jones. The one documented exception is an Arthur Fields appearance on Triangle.
