This means that I have approved and specified your correction request ("Feb 1929" instead of 1928), Mike. I have also noticed that you have an own (shorter) list here, Columbia 14000-D race series, with two records that are not on my list and that I will steal for mine ;-)

As I don't own any of the records on my list, I won't be able to add most of them here with A- and B-side label images, but I will try to add at least a few.

I can even give you an accurate release date, it was 15 Feb 1929 according to The Columbia: 13/14000-D Series. Record Handbook No. 1 (2nd ed. paperback – 1961) by Dan Mahony. I don't own the book, but some of the dates are considered on Discogs, this one among them.

Corresponding to this date there was a Columbia advert on several "black" newspapers in mid-February 1929, e.g. The Indianapolis Recorder (Saturday, Feb. 16, 1929, page 3).

See also my extensive (still not complete) list Mama's Got the Blues (and Papa Too): Bessie Smith and Columbia's Race Records Series on RYM.

Can't seem to find my source again for now. But since both titles were recorded on 5 December 1928, getting it out before Christmas may have been unlikely.
